GIFT AID—give more at no extra cost to you!

If you are a taxpayer , as a Charity, we are able to benefit from the government’s Gift Aid scheme to the tune of 25p for every £1 you give to the society in membership fees or donations. For donations between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011 there is a separate government supplement of three pence on every pound you give.

For this to happen, and the substantial help it affords in maintaining the society’s financial health, all that is required is that you authorise us to make a claim by signing the declaration below and returning it with your membership fee.

• Remember to notify the Society if you no longer pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax reclaimed on your subscription and/or donations.
• You may cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the Society. For record purposes, this form covers payments since the new Gift Aid measures came into force on 6 April 2000.
